Our vision also encompasses establishing an Iron ore Pellet plant with another beneficiation plant of 1.2 Million tons capacity, along with a power plant of 25 MW Hydro based on viability. As we grow on an industrial level we would also like increase our contribution to the society. RBSSN Pvt. Ltd. has been established and controlled by the Saraf family, whose experience in mining industry spans over generations. The family originates from Fatehpur, in Rajasthan and with the generous blessings from the Kuldevi Shri Dholi Sati Dadi this family settled in Tumsar, Maharashtra starting manganese mining operations and also undertook coal mining in Chandrapur near Nagpur.
RBSSN Pvt. Ltd. was registered by Shri Durgaprasadji Saraf and Shri Narsingdasji Mor on 24th October 1951. The name was chosen in fond remembrance of their father, Late Shri Rai Bahadur Seth Shreeramji. The initial mining operations commenced in 1951 and later the formal fresh leases were granted from erstwhile Mysore state in 1956. The company has been exporting iron ore from various ports across the country since the beginning and also was the first to carry out exports from the Kakinada port on the east coast. Shri Gulabdasji Saraf took over the reins of the organization thereafter and presently the organization is led by his grandson Shri Ajay Saraf, son of Shri Govindasji Saraf and Smt. Swarnalata Devi Saraf, who belongs to the third generation of the organization. The company's growth has been steady and upwards over the years with a strict ethical and employee-oriented approach.
Mr. Ajay Saraf is an alumna of The Scindia School, Gwalior, and a Graduate of Commerce from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. He began his career working in the family’s iron ore mining industry and has more than three decades of experience working in the iron ore sector and steel-related industries. He is a visionary and has spearheaded value-added initiatives and the diversification of the core business.
Mrs. Anju Saraf is a Graduate of Science. She began her career working in the family’s iron ore mining industry and has more than two decades of experience working in the iron ore and steel-related industries. It is with her support and timely guidance that the organization is on a growth path and has been scaling new heights. As Managing Partner of M/s Rajlakshmi Minerals, she has led the diversification of the firm’s profile to include investment in renewable energy.
Mr. P. Sitaramaiah is a graduate in B.E (Mining) from Osmania University and holds a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency. He has a vast knowledge of four decades in the mining industry. He is an expert in iron ore beneficiation. He is also an expert in environmentally friendly iron ore transportation technology. He is a key executive who is instrumental in implementing the vision and mission of the organization.
Ms. Akshaya Saraf is an alumna of the Good Shepherd International School and graduated with a B.E. in Industrial Engineering from the B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bengaluru and a M.S. in Engineering management from the Northeastern University, Boston, USA. She oversees operations across all departments. She also runs the Sand Manufacturing and Brick making unit. She also actively hunts for new opportunities and investments for the company.
Mr. Rishi Saraf is a businessman with experience in handling a multitude of jobs. He has a wide knowledge of finance and the implementation of projects.
Mr. S. Kandaswamy has a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He has three decades of experience in manufacturing, constructing and commissioning in various industries. He is an expert in material handling and civil works. He has been working in the organization for the past 13 years
Mr. G. Lakshmi Narayana has completed Diploma in Mining Engineering and is a holder of First Class Certificate of Competency. He has 26 years of experience in Opencast and underground Mining & allied fields. He is well versed in assembly & commissioning, an operation of Dry Screening & Crushing Plants and Beneficiation plants.
